Switzerland is playing fucking great, they're in the lead with 2-0 against Canada.

What a fucking save by Gerber right now, No one in could believe it!!

The referee is checking if that was a goal right now!

I think it was..

Switzerland beats Canada, 2-0, and continues its Cinderella story!

what a difference the goalie can make
amazing show by Gerber, withstanding 26 shots in the 3rd period, whereas the Swiss had only 1, for a total of 49 saves in the game
the last time the Canucks were shutout was in the Olympics was in 1988, by the Soviet Union

the Swiss do have an advantage of being able to train more together as a team

They still shouldn't be winning against Canada, Look at the differences on the players.

I think it's more like they're far more even as a team, and play very much like a team. I'm really impressed by the Swiss.

Now, Valon would add extra skill to the team

I don't expect the Swiss to go anywhere. Just wait and see.

The Swiss have Italy and Germany remaining in group play
It would be more amazing if they don't advance

Finland vs Czech Republic later today - could be a 4-way tie for 1st place in Group A if the Czechs win
A win or tie for Finland would put them in 1st, followed by SUI, CAN, and CZE

Switzerland is impressing many of us, but do they have the capacity of going further?

I hope so.

Anyways, Sweden has a 5-0 lead against Latvia with 5 minutes left of the second period.

Czech Republic vs. Finland will be very interesting and I hope for a entertaining match, certainly.

there's probably going to be at least one pairing of pre-tournament favorites facing off in the quarterfinals
