God/Religion is just a mere concept i.e. something similar on lines of santa... the only difference is the God and it's so called stories (i.e. religion) stays with us for whole of our life and we start believing it.
GOD and the entire religion concept is just to make human beings more disciplined and do something good for the society besides not to live like animals ...

Im reading this thread and its one of the most interesting threads ive read in any forum out there. I like to think of myself as a free thinker, I try to see thing without any boundaries, rules or explanations. Science is our way of prooving things but the big problem with science is that it cannot proove the WHY's. Why Do We Exist is the first big question that comes to mind.

I like the analagy about the watch and the stone one question is just as there is bound to be 'flaws' in the watch's design (due to human experience or lack thereof and even though I dont really believe in labels like 'Flawed' it does seem that world functions very well.) Are there flaws in human nature? not sure. The watch can stop working but can 'our existance' stop working also? Maybe... Was the dinosaur design flawed or just the time in which they lived. How perfect is our universe can anyone think of any flaws in its design or do we just percieve its flaws as the natural order of things.
