In my opinion, I think Depeche music is dark. Never Let You Down, It's no Good, Personal Jesus. It all sounds almost kindof a littlebit teensy insy here it comes... gothic. BUT. I know that's not the right word. None the less, I love this "darker" music. The same goes for New Order, Duran Duran's "Come Undone", VNV Nation. What do you call this?

See! You used .. eh hem *goth *too. I'd say a subtle goth. It's no throbbing gristle or skinny puppy but you can definately picture black lips and army boots when listening.
