I could write an entire thesis on that subject. But in short: ASOT (A State of Trance) popular online radio show hosted by Armin weekly. Formerly it was on dutch radio but nowadays its online.
Plays the latest popular trance tunes. Kind of like Top of the pops but for trance. Some hardcore listeners see ASOT as the only trance there is out there.
The critics see ASOT as something that has long ago played out its role.
