I am not going to defend "Dick". But I would just like to say that alot of people here are probobly totally different in real life. We all can get away with so much on the internet, that talking like an asshole won't matter because there aren't any real consequences (Besides being suspended).

I, myself, try to be as real as I can be in here. The only thing that I would say is different IRL, is the way I speak. To me, typing is alot easier than speaking, so I can fit in alot more words in. IRL, however, I talk fast and brief. Speaking articulately takes alot out of me, because it's easier to say, "Fuck this" and "Shit, I gotta fucking, blah blah..."

you might find it ridiculous but yes, my personal belief is that death does give morality to everyone. but not on the instant of death, rather someting that goes with us through all existence since the first moment, altho it only becomes apparent to others when death occurs: the fact that death can be a very painful experience, that takes away the chance of experiencing more living time. i believe most living beings do not deserve going through the experience of death, but we all do.

see, people who think they have an excellent grasp of what is good and bad, who think they have very highly evolved values, who take great pride in believing that they are good human beings, these people will leap at the opportunity to prove it by offerring up meaningless condolences to someone they've never known. the act of offering in this way is usually selfish. who does it help most when you say RIP on the internet? the dead guy? he's dead, he'll never know about it. no, it makes you feel better about yourself because you just proved what an oh-so good and caring person you are. it's okay that you ignore the thousands of other people who die each day because you pay attention to the one that someone posted about on tranceaddict dot com, or the one you saw on the news this evening, or the one on the front of the newspaper last week. so now you can sleep at night and rest assured that you're obviously a good person. these people think they are very good people because of what they say or believe, and maybe they are good people, but the truth is that a lot of things they say or believe are in most cases self-serving and hypocritical.

err it doesn't serve my purpose. i wish death was a good thing, because i'm going to experience it like any of us. i assume death is a bad thing, because it's something that is usually accompanied by lots of pain and because it's extremely scary. i say that because some time ago i had this nervous thing were i thought i was having an heart attack and going to die, and went insane at the thought.

actually i'll concede you're partially right, coming here and saying "rip" does makes me feel better cause it reminds me of my moral values, alerting me not to go down the slippery road of not caring about anything and not treating death as a serious issue.

i do not think however this is necessarily hypocritical, since i feel the same way about other thousands of deaths, which just didn't happen to come my way in the form of a tranceaddict thread, which is the form of entertainment i'm using right now to make time pass - and you're doing the same.

i think its funny how everyones getting pissed off and arguing. its called opinions. you dont have to agree with them.

my opinion: i thought he was annoying and quite a prick on these boards in a lot of cases. its a relief to not have to deal with some of his posts anymore, even though it is sad that he died. i know a lot of poeple on here are assholes from time to time, myself included. death in life is obviously a sad thing for the people who knew him and were his friends or his family. i never knew him outside from his posts so i can honestly say this in no way affects me but i would send my condolenses to his friends and family as i'm sure they are hurting right now. RIP
