great Leaf/Isles game tonight. the first two periods were sketchy, but the third showed who carries the bigger sticks. 14 shots against, great stat for playoff action. can't wait to go out on yonge street after we sweep the series, this place goes nuts.

Well my Avs took the first step to defending our Cup. Good game, a lil worried at the end but that's what playoff hockey is about.

Hey Sebby, no disrespect to the Kings. next to the Canucks, that's the team i wanted to play the least. With Allison, Palffy, Deaders, Miller and a whole lot of role players, they are feared. But they're still not gonna make it outta the first round

And I thought the Islanders had the Leafs tonight... what was up with trying to protect the lead from so early on? Good job by the Habs though. Avs VS. Habs is my dream matchup haha. Oh yeah, and was it just me or was the Hawks Vs. Blues game really boring? It had good intensity the first period and a half then went downhill. Hope the series gets better because every other one has been great.

Unhappy Kings Lose.....

Avs/Kings game last night was off the hook. All the
goals in the game were beautiful. I hope to see some
more games like that. This is what I mean when I say
that the Kings won't go away easy. The Avs played
great, but the Kings just held on and fought til' the
end. Even if the Avs eliminate the Kings, I'll still be
happy for my team cuz they have done a great job over
the last 3 years.

The Canadiens whooped Boston, 5-2. That was a complete
shocker. The Leafs/Isles and the Blues/Hawks game was
great as well.

The three series I'm focusing on more would have to be
the Kings/Avs because of the rivalry, Wings/Canucks because
it's the team with the best record vs. the hottest team in
the league, and the third match-up would have to be the
Bruins/Le Habs becasue of the game 1 brawl and the
incredible history the two teams had in the past.

How about you guys?

I don't see how anyone could give the Kings a chance at all.

I know my prediction was for Col in 6 but that was before I knew about Forsberg, and I was being safe.

Here are a few reasons why I think Col is going all the way no matter who they play:

1. Patrick Roy - The best ever in the playoffs
2. Joe Sakic - He's Joe friggin' Sakic!!!
3. Peter Forsberg - Even at 60% I would want him on my team
4. Rob Blake - The complete blueliner
5. Alex Tanguay - Great playoffs last year, expect more of the same
6. Chris Drury - Scores big goals, plus Peter's back so look out.
7. Steve Reinprecht - Just watch and you'll realise why this Edmonton native is going to be a star.
8. Milan Hejduk - When he comes back, the Avs will have one more weapon.
9. Adam Foote - Solid as a rock

On to Carolina now:

I think they will be the surprise of the East. Irbe has a history of playing well in the post-season. Now he has a slightly better team and a ton more confidance, especially after that first win. I remember when he stole the series for the Sharks against the Wings in '95. Great stuff.

VERY BOLD PREDICTION:

San Jose will win the cup in 2004.

I agree with you on the Colorado thing 100% Zaru.

I didn't think the Habs winning is a total shocker. I picked them in 7 but the 4 they win will be easy wins, I think.

Sad Kings lose again....

L.A. didn't have anything going in the third period in
the 5-3 loss. I honestly don't see Forsebrg as 60%. He's
more at 110% along with the rest of the squad. The Kings
have one last chance to make something out of this, but
they must win all their home games and steal one on the
road, which I think is impossible at this point.

It looks like the Canucks and Avs are going to play in
the second round. In my opinion, the winner of that
match-up will win the whole thing. I'm hoping the Canucks
go all the way,...that is only if the Kings are eliminated.
