Coming form someone named Sketchbag it probably doesn't mean much, but I know friends who have gone way too overboard and don't know when to call it night. I totally see your point and understand how u feel. I’m living proof of how a drug can take over someone’s life I use to make pretty good money close to 2500-3000 a month for a 19 year old kid with no bills or rent it was awesome but I spent all that money on a certain expensive habit and eventually I was fired form my job lost my g.f my car my apartment and a few close friends, and what can I say I learned a hard lesson and I went clean for 8 months and that was like 3 years ago and I have done it only a handful of times since, it’s just so hard to say no when it's offered or around but out of sight out of mind, I am proud of myself though cuz I did it every day for 12-14 months, and now that I can look back and see what kind of person I was back then(30 lbs lighter) I don't want live like that ever again, everyday was revolved around getting a new bag and when that one was done another and another …. Ewwww gross

Most people don't know what the "proper mix" is. How do you find out what the proper mix is? What works for you may not work for someone else.

I'm just not a fan of cocktails... it scares me to see people I know do that. I would rather they just stick to one thing at a time. At least they'll know what to expect and when to stop (hopefully).

btw, thanks for brining this up Nat.

Drug use and the "Rave culture" go hand in hand.

If you got rid of all drugs how many people you think would actaully go to Guv?
I bet you the place would be almost empty.

Lets face it, Trance Events now need to rely on drug use to keep them going.

Also.. I think this thread might start getting violent soon..

See, here is where I disagree. The belief that "as long as the thin ice is not cracking beneath you, you're doing no harm" is the wrong message to send.

I'm not trying to push anyone to be clean and sober, nor do I look down upon people who do drugs, but I cannot relate to preaching to an entire community that it's ok to do drugs. Let them make the decision, and do your part by either saying nothing, or advising to leave it alone.

We're developing a society of people who are growing up to think that drugs are alright in moderation, when 15 years ago, only a minute percentage believed that. We are on a track that, in 15 years, it will only be a minute percentage that does not accept that notion as truth.

It seems to me that you are only in favour of spreading either silence or a negative image of drugs. Personally, I think ALL instances of drugs and drug culture should be openly discussed, especially in a forum such as this. Ridding this forum of drug discussions IMO is a stupid idea. It's a public forum, and a lot of people may come here for unbiased opinions.

I think its all a matter of personal opinion, and it should be left at that. Most people that I've met have had no opinions on drugs, but those that I find have the highest negative views of it, have somewhat biased views. Either in their own past they've done something stupid, or they're not a stable/secure enough of a person to handle a strong trip.

the Guv does have the skybar open when the weather permits...and AC?? What good is the AC going to do with 1000+ sweaty people packed into a small room?

Sorry but I will say what I like. You see, it is only by listening to everyone that we can ever hope to reach the right answer. If you keep tight lipped about your experiences and views then you're really not assiting people in obtaining the information they need to make "that decision" for themselves. I never recommend drugs to anyone else... if they want to know my views I'll share them, if they want to know what it's like I'll tell them.... the good and the bad. After that they are better equiped to make a decision.

Agreed, what works for one may not work for others. I've arrived at my desired mix by lots of research into substances and their effects compared with my personal tastes and a generous amount of trial and error. Over years I've developed a pretty good system, however, even I can get it wrong from time to time. The key is to be careful... always error on the side of caution.

for the most part i agree. i think you should be able to have an honest, open discussion on drug use. i think most people on here can give their opinion on the negative aspects of drugs just as easily as they can promote them. pretending that drug use does not exist in our scene is burying our head in the sand. it is our scene. we are the ones using them and it is our problem.

however, i also agree with the casual remarks and jokes that are made should be curtailled. often the way drug use is referenced on here, makes light of the seriousness of it all...and it is serious.
