Oh no, the liberals and some pundits think he's cold and a little anti-social, it's the end of the world! Some of the greatest people in the history of the WORLD have been anti-social, harsh, etc. It's called his personality. I prefer that over the bumbling, stuttering morons the liberals keep throwing out at us to lead our country.

I heard him say that shaking hands with his kids is a family tradition, that he shook hands with his dad, and that, yes, indeed, kids are embarrassed by more sentimental showings of affection like hugs, kisses, etc.

quote:
If you think that shaking your sons hand is normal, than we will agree to disagree....but please consider the posibility of waving, rubbing son's hair, pulling bridge of hat down in a jovial manner - or of course you could practise your political handshake with your son as he runs to class to learn about reciprocity and Joseph Brant....

Waving is very impersonal
Rubbing your sons hair... what does that have to do with sending them off? I rub a kids hair when they've made me laugh or something, not when I'm saying goodbye.
"Pulling bridge of hat down in a jovial manner"... Once again, it's not a send-off. We're talking about finding a way to send your kids off without embarrassing them or annoying them. I'd hate it if my dad messed up my hair or pulled the bridge of my hat down every time he said goodbye, I was too embarrassed to let my parents hug or kiss me before I went off to school if they drove or walked me in, I wish that THEY had been creative enough to say "Hey, at least shake my hand!"

At the end of the day, it's between him and his sons. It's really none of our business, it has nothing to do with running a country, and it's not going to have a harmful effect on his kids. So, really... Why do you CARE?

I am glad that his father would shake his hand, and his fathers father would shake his hand and so on and so forth....i dont care....it is odd.

Wasn't aware waving was impersonal...you might want to let THE ENTIRE WORLD KNOW THAT as the entire globe does it, everyone, everywhere.

I care because it is

1) odd
2) cold

3) And because he is the leader of the nation with which I love
4) And because it is indicative of a man with strange ways of communicating with even those within his family circle
5) And also because nobody shakes their sons hand as a send off to school

shakes sons hand (goodluck) as he sends him to "new" daycare system.

How can you disagree with what i said? Everything I stated was fact

whoa...don't call "fact" what remains political opinion.

I would appreciate TARGETED tax decreases...not a decrease in a consumption tax that proportionally rewards those who consume/spend more.

A GST cut is readily "seen" whereas a targeted income tax cut or initiative it not.

VOTE GRAB.

indeed it was...and when the next election rolls around, the CPC will no doubt say "we cut the GST!" and the masses will applaud...because half the population doesn't even do their own income tax or understand how the tax system works.

you can SHOW someone that they save $100 and they'll take that over a $200 savings that they don't "see".
