I'm not really sure that two people liking the same type of music qualifies as an "exact replica of himself/herself."

Speaking from personal experience, if music is your passion it's great to be able to share it with the one you love.
This is even better when you share the same passion for the same type of music. My gf and i are always talking about djs, tracks or sets, and we have fun doing so. We get all excicted when theres one of our favorite DJs playing in town. We talk about our old clubbin experiences and how fun they were. I burn her CDs which she loves and it makes me happy that she loves them...and it can keep getting cornier but you get the point.

That's not the point.

The point is some of you people dig your heels into the sand and absolutely REFUSE to be inundated with a single second of someone elses music.......but ohh, you don't see anything wrong with converting them to your bullshit clown trance.

Love and relationships are about consensus and compromise. They aren't about finding an exact replica, they aren't about converting the other person to your interests, and they aren't about being such a stubborn gimp that you can't get over such a trivial issue as what music gets to played in the car.

If you seriously can't make your relationship work because your "music is too important to you", first off all stop doing that. Don't ever make your music too important to you. It's fucking music, nutsack. Unless you're making a living at it, it's really not that big of a deal in your life. And secondly, there are a lot of important issues that you should be spending a lot of time on in your relationship. Music is not one of them. Because if you think it is, then maybe you're not mature enough to handle a relationship in the first place.

Anyway, im looking for someone to recommened an album for me to buy her so she can kind of get her feet wet and open her mind to some great songs that there are.

Im considering the super cheesy route and almost putting shivers and as the rush comes and all that other garbage on their, but since she doesnt know very much about the genre she wont appreciate a higher level of production than the very commercial stuff.

thanks

Chad

Let me answer this from a different angle.

I believe that people won't like trance

(1)First because they don't have enough patience to listen to the build up. Most of the trancy tracks are pretty long and one might not enjoy it for the reason. They would prolly end up saying i don't have the mood etc.
(2) They might not have good ears/headphones/music system to actually listen to it and enjoy.

Listening to trance is like Yoga or meditation to me. I can listen and enjoy while am at work.

I would suggest take one of your favorite tracks and make her listen to her when you are on a drive or prolly chilling at home with lights switched off or something.

For me i'd go with Chicane/ASOT etc
