I was not impressed with Caragher or Ashley Cole and Ferdinand was crap except that excellent tackle. By far the most depressing and surprising performance for England was Paul Robinson. What's happened to him? He looks nothing like the cool and calm Spurs keeper. He's been standing still, mistiming leaps, flapping his fucking hands all over the place and looked horrible on that second goal.

Cheering for England is absolutely painful. They look great for a few minutes and then within seconds, they revert to desperate idiots running around without heads. I say they'll get past Ecuador most likely, but if they run up against the Argies, it's game over unless they pick it up SOON. And Beckham has had it. Please retire from international football.

Sweden was closer to win this game, I mean, two shots in the crossbar

and if lampard had actually converted his MANY chances in the first half, England would have been up 3-0, which Sweden never would have come back from. Lampard is a liability and does nothing. He either takes a crack from 50 yards or passes it backwards. I did not see him try to beat one man today. Fucking useless.

None of the teams took their chances, and it all ended up 2-2

I was surprised how the english players got the chance to shoot outside the penalty area, and Lampard had 5 shots in the first half. None in the second outside the penalty area for England in the second half.

I dare anybody to defend Lampard right now. He was the worst player on the field. If I were Mourinho, I'd ship his ass to Barcelona before everybody catches on how fucking shite he is.

I agree, England grind well. But giving up those chances against Argentina, Brazil, Germany etc will give them nothing but a crash out in the QF or beyond if they managed to beat the Ecuadorians. I think they'll probably cruise to a 2-0 win on Sunday but I am not going to "expect" anything after the Second Round. Sven seriously needs to abandon Lampard as the attacking midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation. And Crouch is useless up front. He has no pace but neither did Owen in the first two games. How badly are England missing a fully fit striker now! Dammit Sven!

I don't recall lampard having 1 clear cut chance on goal, all's he done was speculative shots from distance.

Sweden hit the woodwork twice and had an effort cleared of the line

England need to shape up big time, if you've still not decided on your best formation, or best first team at this late stage then I can't see it ever happening in this tournament and you will get beaten by the more settled sides, like argentina, spain or holland. Imo sven has got it all so wrong with his squad selection, if he's not going to stick that walcott in up front because he's not ready, then he should never have been in the squad in the first place, the whole point in picking 24 players for the world cup, is so by the beginning of the tournament you have 24 players who can go out on the park and do a job for you, not so you can have 2 or 3 who you have no real intention of playing

Lampard had the ball twice inside the box. The first he could have run the ball in another yard or two and bashed it home easily. What does he do instead? he tried to chip it! Where does it go? Right to Isakkson. We all stared in disbelief. And he had one earlier that he kicked low directly at the keeper from about 8 yards. Plus all those chances he had against T and T! He's just not getting it done. Right not at least, Gerrard is by far the better attacking option from midfield. Anybody can see this!
