Don't have a car...I know a lot of buses head out there but are there buses that head to A.C at night?
please let me know...
:-)
I call myself the public transportation diva coz I don't have a car, but I love to travel.
You can go to AC 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I come from Philly, so its easy. If you are coming from NY, there is New Jersey Transit's 219 bus. Also Greyhound goes to AC. There may be casino specials. In Philly, you can take the Greyhound casino bus and get a refund that you redeem in the casino. Dirt cheap & the riders are pretty colorful.
Frankly, I hate the casino busses. Too crowded. I pay the extra few dollars for my own seat on NJ Transit & populated by casino workers, not gamblers.
Check out www.njtransit.org or www.greyhound.com for details. In Philly, the busses leave every thirty minutes practically all night long. Less frequent late night but that's life.
There are other ways to get to AC, by rail and so forth, but the bus is probably your best bet.

Just wanted to post that I am thrilled about the upcoming show. Never seen Tiesto, so that should be awesome & BT is my favorite producer, so I think I might die of anticipation before I go.
Not sure what I am going to do before or after the show. Not much of a gambler, but I do love the sights and sounds of the casino. Borgata, that gold colored behemoth is a pretty thing to look at.
When I saw BT in Hartford recently, I injured myself dancing so hard. Guess I should rest up before the big event.
Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out to the BT fans.

thats the funniest thing i've ever heard. tiesto for 4.5 hours?? more like 2.5 if you're lucky...
*edit*
oh yea, also for all those wondering a cheap way to get to a.c. try the chinatown buses. they'll take you there for free. actually they PAY you to go down... lol. you'll make like 8 bucks by taking the trip. just a suggestion for all you tiesto fans.. =).

pretty much.
tiesto went from my favorite dj quickly down the ranks. not just cuz of his trainwrecking and all that fun stuff, but mainly because of the length of his sets. when i first saw him he would start at like.. 2 and would go till 5:30, which is decent. slowly but surely his sets began shrinking in length. the next time was 3 hours and the one after that really killed it for me was when he gets on late at 2:20 goes till 4:45ish. that completely wowed me. didn't know anyone could be satisfied with a 2 hour and 25 minute set. maybe its only when he comes to nyc, who knows...

tiesto's shortest set ever in nyc was avalon 2004 - which was 2.5 hours and it happened once.
i can give you set lengths for every set he's ever done in nyc (which aside from avalon, are all 3.5 hrs and up) but here are the last 4:
The World - October 2001 = 3.5 hrs
Exit - December 2001 = 4 some odd hrs
Exit - February 2002 = 4 some odd hrs
one thing i cant complain about was his set lengths.

i know for a fact they were not that long. every single time i've seen him, he's left early. never past 6 oclock. i'm referring to his gigs at roxy and yea, most notably the one at avalon. the longest tiesto set i've seen in nyc was my first with him at roxy which was approx. 4 hours.
anyways.. i'm not trying to get into forum arguements. i'll just leave it at that. sorry for making you angry.

no one's getting angry - i'm just correcting snide mischaracterizations.
as far my times not being correct, at least for gigs during the past two years, i can give you set lengths down to the second.
the ones prior to 2004, i remember in general terms, like brooks said:
exit gigs were around 4 hours a pop; the roxy gigs were slightly shorter.
you guys should stick to photoshopping the dude - it plays better...
