Enough with the whole "male DJs who use male vocals might be gay" bollocks, there's loads of DJs who've done this: Tiesto, BT, Deep Dish, Dogzilla, just to name a few. I'm more suspicious to why PvD used Jan Johnson in 4 of his songs from 'Reflections' and not one had his wife's vocals.

Anyway, maybe we should just wait till his album comes out and then yous can either bitch/praise about it as much as you like.

The last really decent track PvD produced was 'Autumn' and that never saw the light of day, and that was like 5+ years ago, and then there was ofcorse 'Working' or 'Avid City' which was omitted from the Reflections album.

Then theres his Zurdo soundtrack which i rated really highly, it had some brilliant tracks on. Mixing some of his early producing style sounds, with his OTAB sounds. There wasnt really a 'Hit' amongst the tunes, but these were my favourites. 'The Game' also the excellent 'Buenaventura' which had some good old school PvD sounds going on. Also the gorgeous and emotional 'Animacion'. And the darker Avenue like 'Otro Dia'.

Ever since then, its just the rinsed sounds that just get weaker and weaker.
Ditch the horrific male vocals cos they never hit the mark, and get back to the PvD we all know, good solid instrumentals, ala 45RPM, 7 Ways & OTAB.

If there was a PvD Dub Mix of this, it would be semi decent, but im not holding much hope sadly.

You know, I don't understand where people get the idea that gay men prefer male vocals. As a gay man, I can assure you I prefer female vocals. If I produced, I would only use female vocals, if I used any at all.

In fact, the only male vocals I have any taste for are Karl Hyde's of Underworld.

He says that it's his best production EVER:

Trance.nu: What do you consider to be your best production so far and why?
Paul van Dyk: There is a track called ‘Stormy Skies’, which is going to be on the next album. It’s the last thing I did and I guess it’s one of the best things I ever did!

but then again PvD also critisized Lasgo and Ian van Dahl for giving trance a crap name because of their cheesy productions when he in fact produced just as cheesy stuff

so yeah... he has said a few weird things through the years.

Artists always say their latest stuff is the best. It's just a marketing gimmick.
