though i have some GU releases, i dont know their 'sound' really, so i cant tell if youre wrong or right. nonetheless, i like the SHM (Swedish House Maffia) sound more n more, and I'd love to hear some of them on a GU. can you name me some other artists that have a sound 'compatible' for a GU-release, but havent made/done a GU yet?

God no.

If GU is ever going to get to being quality again, the last they need is one of those guys to do a CD.

I'd say, let Estroe do one. Sure, no one outside of Holland knows her. Hell, even here too many don't know her. She's quality though, judge for yourself. I think a GU release with this sound would be quite interesting.

Sorry, they don't let girls do GUs.

They should reinvigorate the Nubreed series for that.

Personally I'm kind of disappointed. GU has always been about pushing the envelope, and Deep Dish's mixes for the series have never given me that vibe. The Warren 024 did... the ethereal breaks mix on the first disc was unreal. And Howell's was an introduction to summery house for many. This is... not new.

I'd say let Paolo Mojo, Jonathan Lisle, Desyn Masiello, Luke Fair, James Zabiela, Nubreed, or James Holden do one... if they can be torn away from their respective series. Or like someone said before, give another one to Sasha. At least HIS sound has evolved since the last one he did.

this one does look pretty average. im surprised no local artist made it onto the tracklist...admitedly there aren't many, if any, EDM artists there, but with a bit of hard work sharam could've sampled and edited some local arabic songs to really capture the vibe of the city and then complement them with a selection of other songs.

on a side note...how come no one's mentioned Trentemoller as a possible candidate for a future GU? i think he would a fabulous job. i absolutely love his new cd, The Last Resort, and find it to be very stimulating, both mentally and physically ( as in on the dancefloor you filthy minds )
