Well first, Fresh is not a bad DJ - when you try and ignore the monkey's yammering in this set, his mixing is actually pretty good. Oh, and I do love the mix albums. Nightlife 2 and Dieselboy's stuff I must have listened to over 100 times. They're fucking awesome. The thing that irritates me a lot though, is that you take a Trance mix album, and a Trance live set, and they'll have almost identical production values. But you take a DNB mix album, and a DNB mix set, and it's like night and day - the live set doesn't sound as full and rich as the albums do (i.e. all bass, almost no treble), and what isn't drowned out by the bass is drowned out by the loudmouthed monkey MCs.
This set is a good example - the tracks are fucking awesome - the new tunes I discovered in it are great, like #5, 6, 9, 14, 18, and 20 (and these are just tunes I liked I haven't ever ehard before - there are tons mroe that I know and love). The mixing is spot-on except for one part where Fresh tried to intermittently cut in the drums of the next song, and it didn't quite sound very polished. However, the set is practically ruined by the MC that just would not stop talking, the stupid rewinds, the flow-breaking , and somebody constantly playing around with the levels (I noticed this a couple of times - the bass would go away and the song would sound dulled and flat). Essentially, all the things that take away from this set are not the DJ's fault. I've heard the DNB essential mixes - these guys CAN have studio-level quality sets even when mixing live and with no MCs. And those essential mixes sound about 1000 times better than the live sets I download. So if the ability is there, WHY NOT JUST LET THE DJs DO THEIR THING?
BTW, E2EK1EL, about the Virgin Android song - the lyrics are cheesey (I can see what someone was saying about extra-cheesey lyrics in DNB now), but the build-up in that song is sick. I think it would have made a better opener track though.
Edit: any good DNB forums where I can ask for IDs of #9 and #18? Those tracks are MINT, and I want them.

Cheese Intro for Virgin Android, blame it on Pendulum
The intro track is a sample dub of all Fresh's best tracks ... I hate the track, what is Pendulum doing? Everyone in the UK are bitchin' about the level of cheese Pendulum have become. So cheese, everyone loved in at Labour of Love when Andy dropped, don't understand why? But, it's just a phase everything is ... I loved clownstep, but the world hated it!
Fresh can't mix for his life -----> 2.Pendulum - Blood Sugar
>>>Fresh & Pendulum ft Spyda MC - Tarantula (Accapella) [tease]
3.Dillinja - Oi! Fresh can mix and tease amazingly to his own tracks.
Use Drum & Bass Arena, everyone there are like TAs ... but with Jungle / DnB.
