on my way to the Labour of Love, a teenager came to me, while I was smoking at GO station in Mississauga. He asked me for direction to South Common Mall, which is like at least 45 minutes walk, and I could tell that he didnt have any money on him.
He never asked me for cash, he just needed directions, but i grabbed his hand, went to the bus stop, gave him 2.50 and wished him a good luck.

Yes, i would have too. I was in the same type of situation as you, Sasha. I had bought a day pass for the TTC and had just arrived at my station where a young kid was asking people for a ticket to go home. He seemed scared and i could also tell he had no money on him whatsoever. Since I was where i needed to be already and it was only 4PM i gave him my day pass to use.
My thing is basically if they don't ask me for money, then i'm willing to give them food/coffee/whatever. Plus i could totally use the good karma!
