Actually I've seen a video of how to do a simple sidechaining of 1 track to another when doing a mix in ableton. Took him like 1 minute.

I LOVE these technical threads which pick things apart like this... very educational and interesting indeed.



btw, does anyone have a high-quality sample of Sasha using this effect? It's kinda hard to pick out, at least on my crap speakers here at work... lol.

Thanks I downloaded and listened.


I think my problem is my unfamiliarity with the tracks. I don't know when he's doing the effect because I can't tell what is in the original track and what he's doing live.
