proof is basically 2x alcohol content. 100 proof is 50% alcohol. 50 proof is 25% alcohol. 200 proof is 100% alcohol

So my 42 proof coconut flavored rum is 21% alcohol and Clever Clovis' 151 rum is like 75.5% alcohol and lol, the 21% stuff knocked me out so I prolly will never even get to try the 151 stuff. So yeah, I'm a lightweight. Our drinks were so strong, I was sure it was the 151 rum.

Well...really you'd only need 2 or 3 shots of 151 to fuck you up. Unless your hardcore like Clovis. Then you drink it by the bottle.

Don't sweat it, 21% alcohol in a drink is pretty good. You can still have something that tastes good and enjoy the night when you are drinking 42 proof whatever. Drinking 151 straight is almost as cool as chugging gasoline...actually, it's a lot like chugging gasoline. heh.

And if you were hardly affected the day after, then it sounds like you had a great night. Getting really, really fucking drunk is NOT worth it - you will know this the next day.

I think I started reading this COR forum when I arrived at school and it's been a source of amusement and entertainment so often.
