It surprises me how people showing affection and love freaks people out so much that they would go to the extent of calling it disgusting, uncomfortable, stupid etc.
What is so wrong with people being loving toward each other? I mean, we as a society seem to have no qualms about people screaming and yelling and fighting, but when it comes to love and people genuinely caring about each other, it becomes "gross".
WTF???
Are you that jaded that you cannot appreciate something so beautiful as love? The ONLY time I could think it would be disgusting is if they were groping each other etc. but just being cute and mushy is sweet and endearing.
I don't understand how something as wonderful as love could project such negative feelings in people. I would imagine it would instead spark a bit of happiness, or optimism in some.
AND this is coming from someone who has had their heart brutally broken. So, that is no excuse
It concerns me that socially, the western culture is more accepting to negative/agressive behaviour toward each other moreso than loving/caring interactions. It begs the question; what the fuck is wrong with us? LOL! |
That's *not* quite what she was talking about, I don't think.
