I love when he starts at 9...he starts with ambient/chillout/downtempo and slowly works into deep house, then house, then some more edgy stuff..till all of a sudden, its 1am and he's dropping big room prog. Techno around 4am. Its quite a ride...
i hope ur gonna make the pillgrimage and come to the wmc for howells marathon set this year mang

i havent read this piece of shit thread but Danny Howells is the best house dj in the world.
edit: and Danny Howells - Final Set @ ARC, New York City (March27,2004) is the best downtempo, chillout, deephouse, funky house, techno set ever. This set overall sums up the quality that is Danny Howells. Nothing touches it.

LOL....Howells?
I would say the top House Djs are the "no name" guys. The whole superstar DJ shit is a joke that went to far. People only know Howells, Porter, S&D, Lawler and few other House DJs that all pound out the same friggen tune every night.
There are kids over on Houseaddict.com that spin way better sets than Howells could today.
People need to stop listening to these superstar mega-messes and check out their local talent....cus, i hate to break it to you, thats where the shit has been right for a while now.

Re: the best house dj in the world: Steve Porter.
Lisen and learn why Steve is the best.
Steve Porter - live @ Fun Factory Ljubljana 03.11.2006
LOL I almost fell from my chair when I saw this!
Fun Factory is a club from my home town of Ljubljana, SLOVENIA,
if anyone's interested, it's a chav like gathering club with
main room that best resembles the one of Ministry of Sound in London,
and then there's an annex which you'd need to see to believe, it's
like Bavarian style hut with Oktoberfest decor, I don't know how
else to describe it. Either way I might try this just for ol time
sakes.

For someone that used to live his life with his cock up lodged firmly up Tiesto's arse, you really need to be a little less condescending when preaching shit like this.

Utter bollocks. When Tiesto was 'on top of his game,' you were ignoring the local talent out there on offer that was far far far superior to him. Staying in downloading mp3s probably. It was the same then as it is now - Only back then you had no quarrels following pop stars because that was the 'in thing' at the time.

Howells isnt a super-star you gimp, he's a british guy who had been collecting records since he was 7 and likes Tequilla. Yeah we have great local talent too...but we're not talking about local talent, we're talking about the best all around house DJ in the world, who is Danny Howells.
If you disagree you havn't seen him for a 10 hour set, or you're just an idiot.
