Erm... nine years. From 2007. Equals 1998. Y'know... the time when For An Angel was updated and became hugely popular. He's not talking about the 45RPM version at all. No wonder your arguments seemed to be full of holes- you've got completely the wrong time period.

Yeah, looks like we're on about different things entirely. Not that the reworked mix is any good either.

What, I don't even need to say anything anymore to get these cheap attacks? What a sad, sad individual you are.

To understand both views:

a - remove all your experiences within the scene from the last 10 yrs, sit yourself down a year or so ago and download, in one sitting, as much trance from the last 10-15 yrs as you possibly can. Now, listen to it all and make your decisions based purely on this mass you have engrossed yourself in. For an Angel, in this context, could easily not stand out.

b - remember that there is much more to dance music than sitting at the PC! Have a look at the For An Angel video with Love Parade - wonderfully suiting to the mood! This is context friends - place yourself in each others shoes

Overrated production, nothing special at all. I liked it for a short period of time and even bought the CD single, but I haven't listened to it in years and have no desire to listen to it again. I can think of literally hundreds of mid 90's tracks which are far superior to it including some of PvD's own productions.
