(-10)^10 is 10000000000 but
-(10^10) is -10000000000
Open to interpretations. Depends on the way bracket is placed !

In your case, since you placed a negative sign outside the bracket, the term 10^10 will get evaluated first and then a negative sign will be applied to the answer.
