this is all a myth, awesome... so we should continue to consume and burn gasoline at asinine rates, overburn every harmful pollutant, light up the entire world and consume energy in excess while still leaving half the 3rd world in darkness, destroy the ozone layer so that those humans in the end that can still breathe in the air we've destroyed, in a "destroyed?" world which we've determined is a only part of a cycle. Eventually we will go the way of the earth's previous, and "cycled-out" inhabitants, the dinosaurs. I thought we were smarter? and part of being smart is being responsible, and part of being responsible is being a steward of the earth, unless of course we'd rather sit around and polute each others minds with half assed science most of us dont understand.
If this is a cycle, then we get cycled out naturally, like the dinosaurs.
Or we take what science has agreed upon of the situation and we learn from it. Science agrees that our global lifestyle is contributing to the destruction of the earth's atmosphere. That is reason enough for me to change my habits so as to NOT perpetuate or exasterbate the affect that the human race has upon whatever should happen naturally. |
LOL. The scientists are still arguing exactly what caused the dinosaurs to be extinct.
We're primarily debating on whether humans are the primary cause of global warming, not the other affects of human activities ie depletion of ozone layer, pollution, etc. (Which I agree that human lifestyle is harming the environment)
As for the 3rd world poverty and developed nations over consumption thingy, that's another topic entirely, eh?
