yeah, the whole movie was filled with cop-outs to explain things in a rush. Brock is dating gwen. The alien symbiote just falls out the sky and follows him home. Sandman just happens to walk into a science experiment at midnight. Peter continues to (blatantly) compound into negative points with Mary Jane. The bulter has known that his father died "by his own hands" since forever. bla bla, and so on.
But I think the movie shined in showcasing a superheroes personal problems and inner demons, rather than ONLY "shit, I can't beat captain invincible, i must find a t-1000 and an opera soundtrack."
+I think the movie's main theme was about the responsibilites of forgiveness over revenge. Peter sets out to KILL sandman, and Aunt may is relectant to even think about having anyone killed. He seeks to destroy Brock's career. The whole jazz club scene with Mary Jane and Gwen(that part was ridiculous). He let the rage consume him, and ultimately ditched it in the church. Brock on the other hand, killed himself to retain his power to seek revenge.[/spoiler]

:/. that's gay. Sony didn't even want to continue the series, that is until the worldwide projection blew their heads off. They said the series would be saturated past the current film. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I read that guy from Brokeback and Jarhead was in talks to replace him (jake guihilsilahal)
so anyways, when Franco smiles, i giggle inside.
