....
Sony has announced that they’re planning to do “Spider-Man” 4, 5 and 6. Are you going to have anything to do with those?
RAIMI: Yes, Sony’s making 4, 5 and 6, but I haven’t had time to even think about involvement. I don’t want to assume that they were definitely going to ask me to do it. I don’t want to be presumptuous about that.
Would you like to?
RAIMI: If there was a great story to tell, and I felt I had a really good take on where the character could grow to, then I think it would be great. But I’d have to have a tremendous passion to do it. Because so many people love Stan Lee’s character that if I didn’t think I could do it fantastically, then I should step aside and let a younger director come in who loves the character and who could do it with the greatest passion on Earth.
And if there was a new series, do you think it should be a new Spider-Man?
RAIMI: I don’t know. You’d have to make that choice probably based on what the story is and what the characters are. But it would be very hard to be involved without Tobey and Kirsten, for me at least.
4,5 and 6!!
sounds harrowing at the moment (but that's just because i just came from the film a couple of hours back....... but it did suck)
maybe sam shouldn't do these remaining films. just to get a perspective of another director, and as for toby mcguire, i would have to say he s done a pretty good job, you actually feel sorry for the kid a lot of the time (and i think that is pretty much like his character in the comic books)
dunst is meh.
cant wait for the next batman with the joker, and and and
and and
.....
.......
......
.......
HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE !!!!!!!!!!
NOW THATS A FRIGGIN SUPERHERO
HOPEFULLY OUT IN 2008

yeah, should warn this is a spoiler, but Harry learns... |
yeah, the whole movie was filled with cop-outs to explain things in a rush. Brock is dating gwen. The alien symbiote just falls out the sky and follows him home. Sandman just happens to walk into a science experiment at midnight. Peter continues to (blatantly) compound into negative points with Mary Jane. The bulter has known that his father died "by his own hands" since forever. bla bla, and so on.
But I think the movie shined in showcasing a superheroes personal problems and inner demons, rather than ONLY "shit, I can't beat captain invincible, i must find a t-1000 and an opera soundtrack."
+I think the movie's main theme was about the responsibilites of forgiveness over revenge. Peter sets out to KILL sandman, and Aunt may is relectant to even think about having anyone killed. He seeks to destroy Brock's career. The whole jazz club scene with Mary Jane and Gwen(that part was ridiculous). He let the rage consume him, and ultimately ditched it in the church. Brock on the other hand, killed himself to retain his power to seek revenge.
:/. that's gay. Sony didn't even want to continue the series, that is until the worldwide projection blew their heads off. They said the series would be saturated past the current film. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I read that guy from Brokeback and Jarhead was in talks to replace him (jake guihilsilahal)
so anyways, when Franco smiles, i giggle inside.

That film was so, so cringeworthy.
What angers me the most was the Mary Jane/Peter thing. What a tart MJ is. It's okay that she's allowed to break the heart of her ex, but then Peter has one innocent kiss and she's being a complete trick. What a stupid fucking whore. If I was Peter, I would have just binned Mary, and gone after the hotter Gwen. I would divide her piss flaps and square root her hole.
And what's with the whole cringeworthy fight scenes? Like before one big fight scene, Spider-Man is posing alongside a CGI American flag? How fucking pretencious. And finally, Spider-Man tries saving Brock. Idiot. Can't you see Brock fucking hates you? Dick. I would have just let him die. Fuck Brock.
The whole "I forgive you for killing my uncle mate LOL" saga was also just cringeworthy.
Still, it was better than Spider-Man 1.
