I know some places refuse to look at health cards as identification. I'd imagine they wouldn't take my citizenship card from 1990 either heh. If my drivers license is denied that is. |
Five of my friends couldn't get in because the bouncer said the ID doesn't look like them (cause hair colour is diff, girls change their hair colour and style basically every year), when it is actually them in the ID and their all 2O-22, like in Ontario Driver license only is sufficient enough for ID, who carries their passport around with them in their own country? Like they all got into the casino without a problem, just that the bouncer gave them a hard time, wouldn't take a look at other non-government ID just to support their ID (debit card, student ID, SIN, old health card) And to make matters worst they were asking the ones with corrective lenses to take off their contacts for what reason?
A couple hours after two of my friends got in through a different bouncer, than one of the bouncers blatantly said "who let this two fucking Asians in?!" I'm not trying to play the race card or anything but that was outright rude.
A couple people outside that were having a smoke were telling me that that same bouncer does that every week to a bunch of different people and it's not the first time something like that happened.
I was really upset cause all my friends that came, came for my birthday, I bought the tickets at wantickets and drove an hour and a half just to attend this event.
I know they were just doing their job, but they were doing it way too well. I know they have to be tough and firm on what they do, but that was just out of line. And like one person said earlier in the thread, their actions, personality, and words reflect those of the club.
P.S. The new Health Card may be used as photo identification but it's up to the discretion of the bouncer, because you can't argue that you used Health card as ID if something happens and you go to court since your not allowed to copy down the Health card number. Whereas you're allowed to write down driver license ID.
