It just occurred to me how funny it is that humans need advice on how to run these days. It's pretty simple in reality, we've been doing it since we evolved from monkeys.
Just get out there and DO IT!

I agree with most of what you said, but there is no "correct" way to breathe.
If you can breathe through your nose, you're not running hard enough. Think about the size of your nose vs your mouth, and the amount of oxygen you can get in to each.
In my years of running competitively, before I gave up because I was lazy, I only ever met ONE person who breathed through their nose. You can tell because they sound like a fucking teapot whistling and you can hear them coming from a mile away.
I was always in and out through the mouth. Just do whatever feels comfortable.

I spent min 5 mins when possible at least 10, esp. if you're just started to run. or else you'll be real sore. special emphasis on leg muscles, esp. groin. hold your stretches at least 30 secs for proper stretch |
Stretching will help prevent injuries and tightness the next day, but not soreness. (yes, there's a difference between soreness and tightness). The only way to relieve soreness is with adequate blood flow to the area, via
a) doing a proper warm down
b) alternating between cold and hot on the affected area(ice and hot shower)
c) running gently the next day
d) running so damn much that your body becomes immune to it, as mine did.
Stretching is great though. I'd recommend 10-15 minutes, regardless of ability or experience.
Stretching is only really necessary for when you're going fast though, because the muscles are at full extension. My cousin was totally against stretching, and he ran across Australia without doing it once (3 month trip!). I think that was stupid though.
