Everybody knows it, but few people ever say it. Yeah, there's the whole thing of, "It's how you play other peoples music," but the real basic gist of it is that most of the music isn't yours. Moby said it best, in my opinion.

It was at a book signing and I asked him that, having made a name for himself by being a DJ, what he thought about people such as Tiesto selling out 20,000-capacity arenas for eight hours. His response was, "I wouldn't feel good if I were in that position, and I never have. A DJ plays mostly other peoples records, why should they cheer for me and chant my name during tracks I didn't even create?"

How to make a Purple Thread (TM):

1) Make a ridiculous claim backed up with absolutely nothing
2) Flee
3) Watch thread erupt and chuckle in your basement
4) Hide for a week
5) Start over

You're making the effort to pop over the border for this?

I hope you enjoy our falling down social club.

I should be there too, but feeling a bit blue, might turn up late to catch Sasha and run.

Yeah but I still like some episodes like his recent ASOT 298.. havent heard anything more recently.. and I love the idea of abusing people who bash AvB for getting drunk or DJing in a EU soccer match.

@ XaNaX

Thanks for the link.. I am downloading it.. and will listen to it.. lets see what this Sasha is all about..
i wasnt aware that you live in india. if he ever goes there, i'd recommend you to see him. but yea, when dj's play live, it is a different experience then hearing live set in your room like someone else said.
