01. Marcus Worgull - Under The Sycamore Tree [Innervisions]
Extraordinarily provacative, tantric composition and killer mini breaks. Chill, organic tech house with a deep, thick, viscous bassline. Gorgeous track
02. Manoo & Francois - A Day In December [Buzzin' Fly]
A very middleton-esque downtempo, soulful number. Lush, organic samples, deep bassline, a yearning melodic line and lush, filter delayed piano stabs with driving high percussion. Sexy sexy sexy
03. Marcus Zelonka - Restless Sleep [Laka-Tosh]
Very analog sounding downtempo dub house track. In the tradition of the italian deep house from the early 90s with heavy layering of analog percussion samples, killer breaks, and a deep, groovy bassline. a touch of glassy rhodes is the icing on the cake. An exercise in rediscovery of a lost sound.
04. Laurine Frost - Papillon (Ripperton Remix) [Perspectiv]
Trendimal with a heart, this track is deeplyand subtlely emotional.
Typical half-time body-swaying tech house beat with minimal layers of light delayed percussion which textures while nearly disappearing into the background. A cold, repetivie melodic line is complemented with a visceral, wailing warm synth.
05. Shpongle - Shpongle Spores (Original Mix) [Kinetic]
A chorsu of rich, cascading bell synths, with a deep, rumbling downtempo bassline give this the feeling that it is somehow coming out of the earth itself. Several synth lines weave in an out like layers of a Bach fugue, leaving the listener lost and space and time.
06. Bluetech - Prayers For The Rain (Original Mix) [Waveform]
Space-jazz at its finest. Funky jazzy triphop. Jungle soul. Rhodes electric piano mimicking a guitar trickles like water in a jungle of syncopated and absurd samples.
07. Ulrich Schnauss - In Between The Years (Original Mix) [Independiente]
Extraordinarily moody, spacey ambient music from the man. A feast for the ears and food for the soul.
08. Cybotron - Clear (Original Mix) [Juno]
Classic from 1983 re-released on vinyl courtesy of Juno records along with a slew of good remixes. Picked this one up at a local store here in rome. Pure electro madness from when electro was actually electro. Fucking great.
09. Dirty Deal - Analog On Treasure Island [Laka-Tosh]
A devastating, floor-shaking yet dark and quirky tech house stormer featured on Laka-Tosh's \"My Electro Generation\" compilation released in June.
10. Sebastian Roya - Compresión (Rekleiner Remix) [Connaisseur Supérieur]
Throbbing, dark, driving are words that come to mind with this track. Imagine driving through a tunnel in a high speed vehicle that runs on basslines, the walls of the tunnel ebb and flow in an outward as you hurtle through it, flashes of light are memories before you can even look at them.
