I would never argue that it's popularity outside the U.S. is even remotely as large as it is here, "real" football (as it were) is undeniably the worlds most popular sport (except for maybe Nascar - but let's just pretend that doesn't even exist).

I bet maybe 1 in 5,000 people that watched the opening ceremony for the Olympics can name the "act" who played it. You all are seriously fooling yourself if you think a DJ is more popular than a sport's team, even an American only sport's team.
