Apple has done nothing to stop 3rd party software from being developed for the iPhone and iPod touch... they've even gone on record saying they wouldn't, so if you're insinuating Apple somehow "broke" people's phones for having 3rd party software on them, you're wrong - no matter what you read on the internet.

when a phone is "bricked" it won't function because of software problems.

i just got my itouch 2 days ago and am loving this thing! i'm not sure i want to endanger it with foreign apps but i know i won't be able to contain myself. i've already got several videos on it. Where are the games though
