Terrorism in US was going to happen one way or another, because fundy Muslims don't like the Great Satan much.

The 'world hates us' thing goes all the way back... I'd say even back to Monroe Doctrine (Euros piss off in Americas. It's US turf now) Abrasive US foreign policy is something constant since the independence from Britain.

not to mention the internal affairs (and even international policy...ie: darfur, etc) which have been completely ignored since GWB has his own agenda.

I think Bush pushed Darfur as much as he can. Because US is so despised by a lot of Muslim countries, US cannot be seen as taking the lead against another Muslim nation. (Or it'd be another Zionist crusaders invading holy Islamic land thingy)

So US can try to get others to take the lead in Darfur, but with substantial interference from Sudan backed by China, nothing much is going on. Esp. since everyone has to work within UN (which is a total joke)

All that is needed is uncorrupt and effective leadership, which unfortunately can be argued your country has seldom had..
Ultimately, and unfortunately for you and 200 million of your countrymen, due to corporate greed, social miseducation, and a plethora of other factors spanning the last 60 years, your nation has tied itself into the unfavourable position that if it were to suffer a downfall, its citizentry would have quite the shitstorm to brave. Anyways, just my nutshell opinion

yes but thats just the point. I never said we didnt have potential, I was talking about if our country had a collapse, just like the "shitstorm" you refer to. that shitstorm was the negative effect I was talking about.

yes China is a major obstacle for us, and so is Sudan's resources. GWB doesnt wanna piss off the khartoum because the government can give him things that he needs. But, at the same time, he has to show the international community that he is not sitting on his ass, letting the "genocide" continue, so he imposes sanctions. wtf!! GWB putting sanctions on the country isnt gonna do shit but make him look like he is doing something positive. please.

The khartoum is happy because they know it wont affect them much, and the rest of the world kinda looks on like "oh, ok, so he IS doing something about it, sooooo I guess we can leave him alone now." meantime, people are still getting slaughtered and raped by the janjaweed on a daily basis. This is what I am talking about with f*cked up foreign policy. We only do shit that works for us, despite people being tortured in their own daily lives in order to do so.

Dude, basically I quote the ENTIRETY of both your posts.
You took every single thought right outta my head and said it in a very educated and respectable way.
Its just that when I speak on this subject I tend to let my passion get the best of me.

The point i like BEST is about the defence budget.
Fuckin comical. All in the name of "national security"..that magical word that justifies EVERYTHING.

yankeebaby, I dont want you to suffer from effects of America's horrible decisions, but i'd give a finger (left pinky heh) to see the powers-that-be suffer GREATLY...

Also, the problem still remains that its not like ALL Americans are so "anti-US" policy...
Its just popular to be anti-Bush now since its literally impossible not to be.
The next time theres a bullshit "threat", the MAJORITY of Americans will be all in favour of "protecting America" as
it'll be, predictably, a "national security issue".

This will NEVER change. The cycle will continue to repeat itself.

$150 donation? Who are they kidding?

I told the guy I was voting for Ron Paul. He responds (literally), "Who?"
