Much appreciated - but I have loads of bad nights/days as well. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it seems like everything just falls apart.

Thanks for the listen.

I liked this one a lot, Rob. I wasn't crazy about the vocals in the first tune, but that's just me of course. After that it was solid as usual.

So here we go. Overall I honestly really enjoyed the mix. I will be the first person to say I am really not to keen for vocal tracks but for the most part I thought the ones included were pretty solid.

One of the reasons why I enjoyed the mix was obviously it had a sort of Balance 05 feel to it a bit. Not a lot but it did have a little of that flavor.

The opening track was really solid and the mix from the first to second track was honestly fucking choice. When we were listening to it on the way home from Wax that night I was like holy shit. It takes a bit for me to feel like that and you got me. Flow into the third track was solid as well. The forth track however is probably one of the worst tracks I have ever heard and really tainted the mix for me. Helen Cornell honestly should be taken out of every DJ’s bag and burned. When Chels and I were listening to it we were just waiting for it to end and it never did.

Fizzman is a great track and almost redeems the Helen track but not quite. The mix into it was nice also.

One of the only hitches mixing personally was from the Ada track into A5B. The tracks didn’t seem to fit together as good you probably thought. I really liked how you mixed right out it with the Day track. They really worked well together. Also that Lewie Day track was hands down my favorite track of the set. I am sure a lot of people got bored in that section but I thought it was fantastic. The mix in and out of it set the tone for the rest of the set.

Everything else from there on out was solid, great to here the Kage track. If you come to DEMF I will have to introduce you to him. He’s a great guy for sure. The FC track was great to hear, way to dig deep. Overall nice work boss. It was definitely something a bit different from you and I did enjoy it. I think I might have liked your last one a bit better but not by much. I would give it a solid 7.7/10. It would have been nice to see some edit and such on the track list since some tracks seemed to carry on a bit too long. That and the 4th track are my only complaints.

~ I mean really … burn that track .. lol

I enjoyed the flow of this one a lot. Keep up the good work man, you definitely put a lot of effort in your mixes.

Quick question...will the separate tracks play gapless on my iPod?

not bad at all!

Some tracks i wasnt feeling as much as others but overall the style was nice... easy to have on while you're just kicking it... Some cool drums and nice basslines, just wasn't too keen on some of the vocals, but thats more my point of view than anything-

that's a good point, man. you have to really enjoy what you do....otherwise, its almost like, "what's the point?" you know?

out of curiosity, have you ever gone back to some of your older stuff, now that you've been doing it for awhile, and tried to "fix" them? or change them in anyway? or no?

Nah - my previous mixes basically have two flavors for me. The first is the kind I grow to despise rather quickly and am embarassed to ever have done in the first place. The second are mixes that I'm generally very happy with and continue to listen for a long time after I've made them.

I think I've made 3 of the second kind total in the past 11 years.

Rob- listened to your set this evening and thought it was great. Mellow, relaxing, casual sound that is a nice change in pace from the many 'danceable' sets posted on TA.
I did, however, agree with a previous poster's comment about the Helen Cornell track. Just not my cup of tea, but to each his own- and despite my dislike for the actual track- it was mixed nicely within the set.

Overall, spot on mixing and aside from that one track, thought the track selection was great and made the set flow together nicely

well done on this one- I'm throwing it on my iPOD for future listening
