Perhaps it's just the sandy blond hair of his, but I can see it much more reflective of the ultra laid back Southern California type than the emo/skater type.

Maybe he'll wind up creating a "Superstar Tech House DJ/Producer" craze of his own.

Only Brits are allowed I'm afraid, it started with the Beatles and we have kept it in various forms since then...

haahah I have thick and curly hair like Digweed's and I remember in Miami when he was growing it out I thought, "what the hell is he doing? is he gonna straighten it? trust me homeboy that doesn't work "

Turns out I just needed to grow it out much much longer than I was, I did and I had my hair like Digweed's for a few weeks. Totally fried my hair though

Yeah I was thinking of adding "beach bum" to that list...but his hair looks kinda dirty/full of hair product.

I'm looking forward to this; the teaser was promising Hopefully it may rival the first as my favourite of the series

I listened to the promo copy.

The opening is stunning. "A5B" is used as a nice intro track and "From Empty Lands" creeps up slowly and blends in nicely. You can't even tell when it comes in, and its beautiful synths still play on and follow nicely well into "Geko" by Guy J. Such a simple yet beautiful opening to the mix, and at that moment, I really thought this would be something special, but unfortunately things just go downhill afterwards. I felt the exact same way with Vol. III (after Coma Edit into Spheere).

To me, the entire mix afterwards sounds like noise. A bunch of tech & prog sounds with no melodic sound to it. Although the mixing isn't as clustered as the pervious volume, and works great, tracks were chosen (not entirely) to mold well with each other than anything you can really groove to. I know this isn't a dancefloor mix, but there's almost no soul to the mix in my opinion. I did find some nice sounds in this, I love the dark thing going along with segment/track 5, but generally I found the mix to be dull.

A thumbs down for me. Not something I'll listen to often.

Listened to the promo today at work. I'm loving it, it's way proggier than the earlier volumes and yet it's techy as hell. Digweed scored a big one with Vol. 4

And that last Soliquid track
