but the thing is he's not even trance, he's progressive house like someone else already mentioned... as a producer, his tracks are definitely worth their place in your playlist if your into that type of music, but personally we cant really be sure what he's like in person until we actually run into him... like he could be costing his own business by behaving the way he does when he's supposed to be dj'ing, and its certainly spreading his reputation online for him... if i were in his position and had someone completely slander my tracks , i'd make it clear that i am making way more money from my tracks than the other person is with their so called productions, and that im not going to sink below their level |
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of Joel but I thought I would add my 2 cents for what its worth. Joel and I became friends this past summer through a mutual friend and we hung out a dozen or so times. Is his sense of humor dry sometimes, ya. Does he say things sometimes that kinda made me laugh and shake my head, sure he did. But is he this giant asshole that people on message boards seem to get off on making him out to be? NOT AT ALL. Joel's a good guy and if i was in his postion in this whole mess I would have done the same thing. This Marcus guy publically slandered his tracks, mocked him on radio shows and basically got famous by using the Deadmau5 name in negative ways. I totally dont blame Joel at all for not wanting to play the same event as this guy!
