Sorry really really tired... yeh basicly what I said was why is the mix competition arbitrarily restrained to 10 minutes just because thats what the youtube limit is? For example veoh lets you get like 2x the video quality... and up to 20 minutes for an embed (after that you need to download their little "tv" app and you get up to 3 hours I believe). The 1 minute I was referring to was when briansred posted his "first mix" which was 3 tracks in about 2 and a half minutes. That is not a "mix"...a proper mix should go for at least 40 minutes.

Certainly at the very least they should offer links to longer mixes even if thats not what is used in their competition. What kind of practice for a DJ is it to have them only making 10 minute mixes. I certainly wouldn't even bother listening to a mix of that length (especially on youtube quality audio)

^Yeah thats what I thought... its liek the whole "megamix" thing, fuckign STUPID imo. How can you get any sense of flow or build with 10 minutes... let aone 2 and a half? I guess that some people are into it but not me. I agree, with mixes the longer the better.

maybe they just do it because its fun for them and they don't enjoy over analyzing everything as much as you do. A 10 minute mix is more of a challenge if anything. (saying this having not seen the vids in question) If a promoter said you have 10 minutes to blow his mind, would you tell him to fuck off its not proper? Who cares...anyone can outro/intro...even if that lasts longer its boring as fuck. Mr T thinks so, and he cures cancer.
