I thought the video said...
they(reporter and cameraman) left russia the next day and then a few days or weeks later that leader guy who shot all the beating videos and was a leader or somesort was arrested on multiple hate crimes then those two victims were captured until his realease but they shot one in the head and decapitated the other.
my reasoning is this video got national attention and the guy got caught and retaliation was used(i.e. kidnapping 2 and killed)
