Exactly. And FLAC has really gained popularity, especially in the geekier and audiophile circles. It is slowly becoming my preferred format. The thing that sucks, is my mobile unit (my in-dash unit) doesn't support it. Thank fucking god when I upgrade it, it will have a USB port!

I have a Zen. Buy the Ipod. My Zen spontaneously stopped working. It doesn't even turn on anymore.
I had a Zen a couple years ago, it was hard to make playlists on but it sounded fine. My Ipod has crapped out and frozen so many times, but as long as it never completely dies I guess its fine.
I go running with mine which causes it to freeze 100% of the time. I had a warranty so I was able to get another one that is a little more reliable.
Ipods functionality is great, but they can be a pain in the ass down the road
