last time i went the visa was 150$...plus another 150 tip. This is the way the new china works. |
I went to China in February and it was $130 for a one year, multi-entry visa for an American passport (American passports are 50 dollars more than any others). Express services (2-3 mailing days) $35 and rush services (same day mailing service) are $50.
It's still the same prices....now they just require more proofs from your job, school and wherever you are going to stay. For example, when I went last summer I was never required to show a proof of kinship to my parents living there and an invitation from my parents but now I need a birth certificate signed by my father and proof they live there. I'm luckily able enough to have my grandmother apply on my behalf in ottawa and sent her $400 to cover any extra expenses she needed because God knows what fees the Chinese might pull out of their ass this week.
