Yah but that's why the scene is dying. Newbies like to dance and have fun. They are not interested in the sublties of the music. You develop that over time. There would be a much bigger scene here if more of the dj's played like Preach, bender etc.. Most people that go to afterhours don't really care. Time and time again whenever the DJ picks it up a bit (higher tempo better build ups) there are more smiles, more happy dancers and that's what the scene what always about. It wasn't about mopping around and sitting down falling asleep.
Anyways, I guess your right the music changes and there is nothing you can do about it..
