Damm TWILO.. is not the matter of how many times you've heard it, maybe 1000 times, probobly not all of them at the right moment.. but this time it was perfect.. the other one I would've chosed would have to be Out There and Back , and well, FOR AN ANGEL was the best choice.. but well, what you see in TWILO is not what exactly happened in ULTRA , in the CROWD, everyone went nuts... well... everyone things differently.. good luck
Peace

I know.. long quote but its all needed to be there. From what i heard from other people the actual tunage and dj'z were top quality.. but to hear this sort of mis-management at such a large event is, to be honest, not good enough. These events are the highlights of peoples years, people travel fuckin miles to get to them (i know of one ) and to think that they dont have spare fuckin turntables there??? for crying out loud most the DJ's have them in their hotel rooms, and they cant get that one worked out??

Water at $5 doesnt surprise me, u dont buy a new bottkle every time though do u? if u do u are a bit stupid... go fill it from a tap in the bogz...

Fucking about with the plugs, and knocking TT's during performance is not acceptable... not only does it really fuck the DJ off (specially if it gets caught in the middle of beatmatchin an stuff...) but it completely breaks the atmosphere of the place... What kind of unproffesionals organised this? Has anyone complained?? i would if i had payed the good money to see the poor management of the event..

Peace

That's what I said about the turn tables.

5 bux for water is crazy, people go through that stuff @ parties like it's nothing because 1. we are dancing our ass off 2. it's usually hot as hell. 3. e-tards are laid the hell out (not me anymore).

tap water is nasty so I'll just pay for the bottled stuff.
still it's ludicrus that we hafta pay 5 dollars for a bottled water when we can get them out side of the venue for 0.89
talk about price gouging.

Complain formally no, but I've posted my opinions where ever I can and I want to go back next year so I can't be seen as "doging" them too badly. |)

Fact is drinkable water should be freely available if the organisers have any sense in them.. the last thing they want while george w bush is fucking about with rave laws is for someone rolling they face off to over-heat... Maybe it waqs just run by a bunch of ignorant in-experianced people... thats what it sounds like from here.

peace

The crowd goes NUTZ when Sandstorm or I turn to U is played (Not at Twilo) does that mean its good?

Closing w/For an Angel was a crowd pleaser. But as a Top DJ & w/every DJ, producer, Label, Club ppl in the industry it looks bad for Pvd.

its good if it makes the crowd crazy..

Darude - Sandstorm @ Paul van dyk's Mayday 2000..
it was one of the biggest tracks of the nite...

and it depends if u mean good in production.. good in crowd pleasing.. good in whatever..

in the eyes of Djs / producers, etc... its irrelevant..

what would u say is the #1 thing for a DJ to do..
please the crowd..
thats what he did

It doesnt mean if its good in Twilo that its good in Ultra......like PVD said in a recent interview on www.trance.nu ...... every club,rave,event,etc....has there own vibe....and the best djs can all play them....and PVD is one of them..... When the Crowd..looks like a Mosh pit...cuz of people just going nutz..then the djs know that there doing there jobs.... and honestly For An Angel..is perfect for a closer of a set at a big Event like this...cuz the song is probably the best trance song ever atleast one of them.... being PVD and playing that tune that really describes what trance is all about...is perfect for the massive's crowd!!! I WOULD GO NUTZ!!! with i was there!

I definetly agree.. To me if I was a Dj like Paul Van Dyk I wouldnt care how other's would label me, I would only want to please the fans and give them something to remember ..
