Yeah. But it was hard to care about this election. I mean it was called for pretty much no reason (or at least to the average Canadian eye), the campaigning was weak all around, there was very little party promoting, instead it seemed to be all party bashing. It was next to impossible to know what the parties platforms even were.
This election was the biggest joke. Why would people want to vote?
I wasnt going to vote until I decided to a couple days ago. So many Canadians either a) dont care or b) are bitter towards the whole thing.
It also doesnt help that we care more about the US election than our own.
I bet that in 2 years even less Canadians will vote...
Also... If parties such as NDP, Bloc, and Green Party keep gaining popularity will it not be harder and harder to get a majority government?
I really think we need a majority government (even if it was conservative) at least something would get done... I am tired of these guys getting my money to sit and drink coffee, debate for hours and come up with no action plan. |
the fact that this election was a complete waste of time is even more reason why people needed to get out and voice their opinion. There is no excuse not to vote in any election.
I think it should be manditory that you at least sign in at the voting stations.
