Sucks it doesnt use br, but as a media center it plays hd files fine. Only takes couple min to convert mkv to wmv hd or mp4.xbox upscale dvd to 1080p...But ya both great system, waiting for gt5 to come out and im going to get it.

I download ripped blu-ray movies as well. For movies I gotta have I get the actual disc but for movies I like I just download it. I have a huge TV so every flaw is visible. I can actually see the difference in the downloaded movies compared to the actual disc. Most of it lies in the colors and lighting. The range seems to be limited in the compressed files. I don't see it as much when i'm watching it on my smaller TV though.

I keep a few on my PS3 to show it off when I take it somewhere and the rest I keep on my desktop streamed to my PS3. These media centers are something else. I'm trying to get a large NAS device so I can store all my movies there that way I don't have to keep my desktop on all the time.

go fuckin figure that as we talk about this, my 360 gets the 3 red rings of death. fuck. oh well, at least it's still under warranty.

did you end up buying something carlos?
