well the greatest musician ever has to be a person you brought you into the scene!!!! because it was his/hers magicial sound that created your interest in the first place

for me it was paul oakenfold, atb back in like 97...i didnt know what it sounded it like...when ur in like middle school u dont know shit!!!

hmmm if u want to go way back...then it has to be the guy that made the music for streets rage 1,2,and 3...especially 2. or that early poppy dance music of the late 80's i dont know...but it got me hooked...

as far as sayin whos the greatest of all time by skill then thats a tough one, because people taste changes all the time.

This is a good list, I agree with the great part of it. But it's also made by just one person, so of course it's quite subjective and not everybody will agree with the choices. For me, Moby, Paul Van Dyk and Pet Shop Boys shouldn't be on the list and Marshall Jefferson or Farley Jackmaster Funk should be there (they were definitely more important for house music than Larry Heard). In the end I think we cannot universally agree on top 25, but we can all agree that Kraftwerk was the most important electronic music band ever.

Definitely.

I was listening to Computer World recently. A lot of old records are influential, but I've never heard one that sounded so influential. You could hear a hundred subsequent tracks in every minute of music.
