the problem here is that he's not differentiating himself from the rest based on the music he's playing. after all, he is a dj...

right. he should differentiate himself from the rest by playing cecille, perlon, mobilee, etc, etc records, with a standard mixer please. if he's feeling radical, maybe a flanger or glitch filter on the breakdowns!!!

again, i'm not commenting on his use of effects or whatever. just saying he's doing the same shit as everyone else, only wearing a glove while at it.

What a huge load of bullshit. Get over yourself.

Post of the thread. The crowd goes absolutely batshit insane, and here are some things worth pointing out:

1.) She stands there like a rock, never raising her arms nor striking a pose.
2.) She's not doing anything fancy. The record is playing, that's it.
3.) They lost it to the MUSIC.

Nothing more, nothing less. That is a DJ, that is an artist. Not some chump fuck with a Wii controller.

For some reason thats a bit sad actually... I wouldn't call the DJ an artist in this case. Nor would I in the other.

OK I just watched the video and that is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

If you think DJ'ing is very far from an art form when done correctly, THAT is sad.

Oh yeah? Well, Henry Rollins begs to differ.
