If I were trolling, you wouldn't even suspect that I were trolling. Conversely, based on the same evidence presented in this thread, it could be argued that you were trolling. Now, understand that I'm not asserting that you're trolling. If, however, I wanted to troll this forum, I would adopt views eerily similar to the ones you have espoused.
The bottom line is that Keyboard Magazine had substantial market share to lose by letting the thread, in its quarrelsome state, stand as both Christians and Atheists had made utter fools of themselves, resorting to very, very base ad hominem retorts. To let the thread stand, in that case, would have been tantamount to sanctioning open flaming in a public venue created, predominantly, for KB's readership.
Considering the heated nature of the thread and some people's inability to control their own passions related to their strongly held beliefs, KB moderators were right to pull the plug. It had become utterly unproductive with people resorting to behavior seemingly projected onto their very foe, with little to no regard for the truth of the issue.
