I tend to think I'd do pretty well.. Never really had a problem doing without an Internet connection on holidays, not even when we were away for a month or so.

I need it for my job, but other than that, I think I'd do pretty well running, reading, socializing and watching films.

I did have no internet for one year - I actually finished up school!

I like the idea of no internet. I don't really get on it when I get home. I'd say that I use the internet (at home) for about 15 minutes total in a given week - if that.

Even if you do "succeed", what is it you hope to gain? I went for years without having a television. Under a year ago, I'd been without internet as well for about 9 months. Now I have both, and I rarely even turn on the fucking TV - I don't believe it's even plugged in at this moment. During the prior time, I dated more, got out, wrote, drew, exercised, etc. All of those things that you expect to fill up your time don't really fall short of it, but I do all of those things even now while doing whatever I want with net. Achieving a balance is far more beneficial. It's foolish to deprive yourself of things that you enjoy in life. If you feel that something as lame as the internet is sapping these things away from you, then yeah, you have a problem. But cutting yourself off from them probably isn't going to help a whole tonne as it's not a strict chemical dependency. And you're probably not even reading this, you fuckhead.
