Yep, saw on Gamespot today that Starcraft II is officially slated for Q2 2010. At least they're not rushing it and focusing on quality, but I had the false hope it'd be out this year

The game is pretty much done, and at this point they're mostly delaying it because they want it to launch simultaneously with battlenet 2.0, which probably means they'll also go into beta together within the next few months.

Yeah it's still free. They're just making it more like steam / xbox live (which really isn't all that surprising) with cross-game achievements, IM-like messaging and stuff.
