I have a brother that's 100% gino and I laugh my ass off at him and he wouldn't be caught dead @ Guv. He usually goes to Plastique, Palazzo, Money, Helum etc. I have been to some of those types of clubs before and sure the music is total garbage but I'll go anywhere. Stop insulting unless you KNOW what you're saying. Guv is NOT a gino club! Gino's listen to freestyle, euro, top 40, reggae and r&b. Well most that I know do. It's not even about that. You remind me exactly of my brother about how he looks at the trance that I love so much and the parties I hit up, except from the opposite spectrum. You are both saying the same thing from differing sides. Stop with the hate man...if you don't like it, don't go. Simple.

You're right man...seriously...some people just have rods up their asses or somethin'...Guvernment isn't a Gino club, its a trash club...they attract the trashier people...muscleheads, crackheads, hoes, etc. There's rarely any gino's, and if there is someone thats dressed "classy" (dressed well) then they're actually really nice people also...I've talked to a few that you would define as "gino" and they were really nice people (they offered to buy me a drink!!), and they knew who was spinning and commented on his previous Guvernment performence. The only problem Guvernment has is like I just mentioned, it attracts too much of the trashy people. But I don't really care...they're not in my way most of the time...and if they are, I just stand my ground and they'll get the hint and leave. Honestly, I've been to Guvernment 4 times in total, and each time I'm there, I notice an improvement in the overall "vibe". Scott Bond was horrible in terms of crowd...then I went for Armin in April, and it wasn't that bad...a lot better than Bond. May Longweekend had an amazing crowd and Armin this past weekend, had a good crowd also.

Coldone, and any other "princesses" who have a rod up there, if you don't want to come, then don't come...more room for the people who know how to have fun.

Oh, and to whoever wants to call the fire marshall...you think thats gonna do anything? It's pretty obvious that the owner (Charles Kabouth) has connections high up in Toronto's government to do this...and is paying some people off. Club ownership is a corrupt business.

Well, several firsts for me. First time at the Guv, first TA meeting, first time for AvB, first time to see any DJ spin for 4 hours. Fantastic! The club was hot and packed, but what do you expect when you add together the regular Guv clubbers with a bunch of chinscratchers there to ID every track. The crowd was a lot friendlier than I expected. It was a nice change from a rave to have great lights and sound, and have the place jammed.
Hearing Armin spin for that long has piqued my interest for the likes of Sven Vath and Danny Tenaglia and their 14 hour sets.
I couldn't believe how many times I heard the words 'Comfort Zone' mentioned. Ugh! You have to stay extremely high well into the next day to make that sojourn worthwhile.
Waxen, thanks for giving me the idea to ruin my socks. It was still worth it to feel the coolness on my feet. Time2burn, I looked like a lightweight early in the evening -you know what I mean! Nick (forgot your TA name) thanks for letting me chat your ear off.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of you in the Hangar at WEMF, but I'll only be there for Saturday night.

I guess I'll check out Marco V at the Guv on August 24th!

Well its Tuesday and I think I'm ready to post.

To begin, I thought that Armin's set was incredible.
He played some classics along with some hard shit I've never heard before, I loved it.
Armin was dancing and jumping up and down, I love that, it gets me so pumped, he's the best.
As Sarcoman mentioned, the crowd was really good this time around, not too many gino's, or crack-heads, and compared to other times there was so much room to dance.

I came with my brother (Cloud9), TranceExtacy, Sarcoman, Arcitboy, and some other ppl. I was really surprised by the amount of TA's that showed up.
Dont want to start naming ppl cuz it would take forever, but it was nice to meet alot of you for the first time, Swamper, I hope you had a great B-day, and Arcticboy good luck to you in the States, you better come back and party with us again.

Ohh ya, my highlight of the night was at the end, when I got to meet Armin, and get my visor (Which is hanging on wall in my room waiting for the next event) signed. SWWWEEEEEEEEEETT!!!!!!

This, is very true...Corsten and the last time I went to see AVB was much more packed than that...

Believe me, I've posted WAY later than this before. It's just after you've been up for 36 hrs straight (& sober), what ever time it is becomes time for bed. I still ended up going to bed at 4:30am. Silly me!
So, who is the oldest? I thought Arcticboy & I had that market cornered when we ran the TA age thread....

looks like you guys had fun! I'm very excited about Armin's next visit over here.

And also, for the ones saying 4$ for water and 6$ for rum and coke is too much, hahahahahaha don't ever come to a Montreal club, you'll have heart attacks. Water has been 4$ for a loooong time, Heineken at 6.50$, Liquors at 8.50$, some of them as high as 12$. And i'm not talking about Uber-classy clubs here.

When I want to get drunk I end up spending 80$+
