One of my coworkers was sick last week, went to Mexico over the weekend, and when he tried to cross the boarder he was denied entrance because he appeared ill.
I don't know whether he was forced to go to the hospital or did it voluntarily, but he was hospitialized and now quarantined for the next 3-4 weeks!
I also have a friend that just returned from a cruise, and she was barred from leaving her cabin the entire trip because she complained of an upset stomach the first night onboard ship. Apparently that's standard protocol, and not a result of the recent flu scare.
Crazy.
