No offense to all the DJs here but it's not really something that requires an enormous degree of talent, just money and time and connections.
Don't try to pretend that your infinitely shallow comment earlier was actually a truly complex analysis of human ambition and scene politics in disguise. You might as well admit that you get a boner every time some moderately attractive chick puts on headphones and fumbles around on a mixer. It's not as though you're giving props for practicing to the 268,000 other struggling DJs who aren't celebrities but are actually good. |
When i mean good i mean talented as in good technical skills, knowledge of records, able to count beats, able not just to mix two records together but put your own style into your mix and create a vibe using what music you have. If a dj can beat juggle and scratch on top of that, then they are even more talented and I give more respect for that.
I dont get a boner from Lindsay Lohan, it's hard to be attracted to someone who spends most of their cash on a substance that ages their skin and destroys the brain and liver. So assuming I am attracted to Lindsay is shallow in itself. I know you try to act like a know-it-all on these boards. Yes you do seem intelligent but you don't have the answer for everything, especially what I think about the scene. I believe in equality for everyone, if anyone has the drive and dedication to become something, they should go for it regardless what people say.
EDIT: And how would you know if i do not give props to other dj's? i have many dj friends and support all of them 100%. Creating assumptions and using intellectual terminology does not necessarily make you an intelligent individual.
