There are a few of us military folk in here that do appreciate a good beard every now and again.
I think I recall a beard thread sometime last spring with several of us attempting this.
Some of my attempts and progress from last year:
I'm in Afghan land now for another 38 days and when I get home I'll grow another one...

I can't grow a proper beard. About 4-5 days of not shaving I look like I haven't washed my face. And after I shave with a razor I look 5 years younger.
